Magnetic drum separator

The separator (2) has a drum (6) rotatable around a rotational axis (4), and a magnet assembly (10) comprising multiple magnets (12) and arranged in an inner space (8) of the drum. A separation zone (18) is located in an outside space (14) of the drum and made to flow throughable from a feedstock (22). The feedstock is divisble into a waste stream (30) and a valuable material (28) by magnetic field (26) produced from the assembly in the zone according to separator behavior (32). A relative position (R) of the magnets is more variable to the rotational axis with the separator behavior.
