The compounds are prepared by reacting an azabicyclo octane with Formula II as such or in the form of an acid addition salt thereof, in the presence of an inorganic or organic base, either with a thiocarbonyl halide of the Formula III in which Hal represents chlorine or bromine, or with the individual components of such a halide, namely with phosgene or thiophosgene and the alkali-metal of an alkanol or mercaptan of the formula Compounds in which X is oxygen or sulphur and Y is sulphur may be prepared by roasting an azabicyclooctane of Formula II as such or in the form of an acid addition salt in the presence of an inorganic or organic base with a compound of the formula CXS wherein X represents oxygen or sulphur and the compound of the formula R-Hal or for compounds in which X is S and Y is O with a xanthogene-acetic acid ester of the Formula VI The compounds have herbicidal properties. |
