<p>The take-down mechanism particularly designed for tubular fabrics and stockings, consists of a shaft with a key way on which discs are fitted at regular intervals, and keyed to the shaft. On to these are fitted slipping clutches which transmit the 'drive' to esp. coated cylindrical pieces. This gives an even tension and more torque to each piece. Against this reins a pressure roller of one or more pieces, which can be varied in pressure against the main roller.</p> |
