A flying garment is intended to be worn as apparatus for flying and gliding without strings and comprises a tunic (1 fig 1) with wings (2 fig 1) stitched to gloves (3 fig 1) with flexible rods 4 inside dart-apertures (5 fig 2). The garment provides extension and curvature of human fingers to imitate bat digitalis, for shaping, spanning and closing the wings. The wings may include forward extension units attachable to each wing using material portals 6 to house antebrachial membranes 7 to suspend lycra draw-string sacks 8 for housing helium balloons. The helium balloons are provided for safety during testing/practice if required. The apparatus also includes an anti-dislocation device 9,10,11 attached to the tunic back which may or may not form part of a second extension unit. The apparatus is intended to provide a personal air-transportation garment which is removable from the pilot's body to be readily foldable and transportable. |
