PURPOSE: A primer set for amplifying CO I DNA barcoding region of scale insects is provided to ensure high DNA amplification rate. CONSTITUTION: A forward primer for PCR for amplifying CO I(cytochrome oxidase subunit I) DNA barcoding region of scale insects has a sequence of sequence number 1, 2, or 3. A reverse primer for amplifying CO I DNA barcoding region has a sequence of sequence number 4 or 5. A kit for amplifying CO I DNA barcoding region of scale insects contains the forward primer or primer set.
