PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling a crane hook are provided to safely load freight by controlling the length of a wire connected to the crane hook in response to a distance between freight lifted by a crane and a loading position of the freight. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a crane hook(100) comprises a distance measuring part(120), a driving part(130), a gradient measuring part(140), an encoder(150), and a control part(110). The distance measuring part measures a distance to the ground and a distance to freight, and outputs the measured values. The driving part makes the distance measuring part face to target objects. The gradient measuring part measures the operational angle of the driving part, and outputs the measured values. The encoder measures the rotational rate of a wire drum(160), and outputs the measured values. The control part outputs the control signals of the driving part and the wire drum. |
