Methods for sharpening, in particular sharpening knives of a knife ring flaker

The method involves fastening multiple knife holders (9) at a rotating knife ring (2). Knives (6) are held at the holders by clamping. The knives to be sharpened are advanced in/at the holders without releasing the clamping, and subsequently ground by a grinding device i.e. belt grinding device, in an advanced position. Clamping plates of the holders are connected with holding plates by clamping screws (10). The knives are fixed between the holding plates and the clamping plates by the clamping screws. The knives are polished in the advanced position upto a preset management measure. An independent claim is also included for a device for resharpening knives of a knife ring flaker.
