Emergency plaster bandage - made of textile layers partly resin penetrated and outer plastomer cover with air vent channels

A rigid plaster bondage consists of a base textile layer carrying a textile layer penetrated by resin and a set layer of a plastomer as the outer cover. The mesh size of the textile material is fine enough and its thickness such that the resin penetrates only partly and leaves a layer close to the skin free. Channels are arranged in the base layer parallel to the skin surface and terminates at one face end. This bandage is sufficiently stiff to support a fractured limb. It combines simplicity in application in situ with good fixation and reposition. Adequate ventilationis ensured for the skin.
