SPRINKLER A sprinkler comprises a stationary tubular housing and a water inlet pipe mounted coaxially in the housing for rotation under the reaction force of water flowing through the pipe under pressure and discharged therefrom into an outlet pipe which is connected to the inlet pipe for rotation therewith and carries a nozzle for sprinkling the discharged water. The outer surface of the inlet pipe and the inner surface of the housing form a gliding bearing and this bearing is filled with a lubricant which is so viscous that the resistance of the bearing to the rotation of the inlet pipe is approximately proportional to the rotary speed of the pipe. |
