This invention relates to the recovery of chemicals from the pulping of cellulosic material and more particularly to improved efficiency in the operation of fluidized bed recovery processes for recovering sodium carbonate from pulp mills by leaching the sodium carbonate recovered from the fluidized bed with an aqueous leachant to reduce the alkali metal chlorides content.
