The heat accumulator (S) has a storage medium (M), a transmission device such as induction coil (I) and an electrically conductive heating element (H) for transferring heat to storage medium, and a removal device (R) for removing heat from the storage medium. The induction coil and heating element are contacted to the storage medium, so that heat can be exchanged between heating element and storage medium. The heating element is located within the coil. The heating element is made of ferromagnetic material. The storage medium is in form of solid/liquid/gas.
