PURPOSE: A method for preparing alkylene carbonate from alkylene oxide and carbon dioxide is provided to quickly obtain alkylene carbonate of high yield and high purity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing alkylene carboante of chemical formula 3 comprises a step of reacting alkylene oxide of chemical formula 2 with carbon dioxide under the presence of 1,3-dialkylimidazolium dihalodialkylphosphato zinc catalyst of chemical formula 1. The reaction is performed at 80-140°C and 10-100 atm. The 1,3-dialkylimidazolium dihalodialkylphosphato zinc is prepared by reacting 1,3-dialkylimidazolium dialkylphosphate of chemical formula 4 with zinc halide of chemical formula 5(ZnX)2. |
