To reduce gas pressure loss in a gas flow passage of a fuel cell as required, the fuel cell has a cell structure in which a gas flow passage is formed by an expanded metal, a bond portion (BO) connecting a mesh of the expanded metal (28) stands partially upright in a position where a bond length is shortened so as to form a part of a strand portion (ST). Hence, in an opening (30) formed by the mesh of the expanded metal (28), a surface area on which front and rear openings (30) overlap in a (TD) direction increases when seen from an (FD) direction. Thus, a sectional area of gas flow passages constituted by a continuum in the (FD) direction of the openings (30) overlapping in the (TD) direction increases. As a result, a gas flow (GF) flows without making repeated narrow turns, reducing gas pressure loss. |
