PURPOSE: A telephone number based social network service(SNS) system and a method thereof are provided to supply a communication service based on a telephone number without considering whether or not ID is registered, thereby integrating an SNS service and an SMS service in one application. CONSTITUTION: An SNS management server includes the following. A registration processing unit(210) connects to a communication terminal through an application installed in the communication terminal. The registration processing unit processes the service registration of the communication terminal by using a telephone number included in a registration request message. A friend registration unit(220) registers the telephone number included in a received friend addition request message in a telephone registration database.
