The invention relates to medicine, in particular to cardiology, and concerns a method for the estimation of myocardial ischemia expression based on analysis of current density maps. Magnetocardiographic examination is carried out, current density maps are reconstructed in frontal plane, lengths of current density vectors are calculated at each map within ST-T interval and QRS complex. Three angular segments of vector directions, normal, intermediate and abnormal, representing depolarization of ventricle septum (1), anterior wall and apex of left ventricular (2), lateral wall of left ventricle (3), of or ST-T and four QRS subintervals. Further, total length of vectors directed to each of determined segments (LNORM, LPATH and LI) is calculated for each map, instantaneous abnormality indices AI and average thereof for each interval Alave are calculated.
