<p>PURPOSE:To remove H2S contained in gas at an low operating cost, by making high-temp. gas contg. H2S pass through a reaction tower packed with metallic packing. CONSTITUTION:A gas contg. H2S is led through a line 1, a blower 2, a heat exchanger 3, and is heated to 300-500 deg.C in a preheater 4, which is heated with fuel sent from a fuel tank 7 through a line 8. Then the gas is delivered through a line 5 to a reaction tower 6 packed with packing made of mild steel or stainless steel, which reacts with H2S and fix it, the exhaust gas made odorless being released to the outside air through a line 9 and the heat exchanger 3. On the other hand, the metallic packing having lost H2S-removing ability is regenerated by making air, which is sent from an air fan 11 and is heated in an air heater 12 to 600-800 deg.C, pass through lines 13, 5 to the tower 6. Hereby the metallic packing is regenerated, and the regeneration exhaust gas is released to the outside air through SO3-removing tower 15 and a line 16.</p> |
