An extraction-photometric method for determination of tropan alkaloids in plant raw material includes obtaining water-alcohol extraction from raw material, with its use of bromthymol blue as reagent at pH 7.5, three times extraction with chloroform, filtration, addition of alcohol solution of boric acid with following measurement of optical density compared to solution of reference sample of atropine. Common clotbur herb is used as plant material, water-alcohol extraction from row material is obtained through boiling on water bath with tenfold amount of ethanol 40 % during 60 minutes, analysis is carried out for 2.0 ml of extraction obtained, and optical density is measured at wavelength 420 nm. |
