A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) system having a navigation function using DMB gap fillers and a location measurement method using the DMB gap fillers are provided to enable a user to use a navigation service without purchasing a navigation device by executing a navigation function after measuring a location using DMB gap fillers without using a GPS satellite. A DMB system consists of a plurality of DMB gap fillers(A-C) and a DMB terminal(100). Each of the DMB gap fillers(A-C) transmits a DMB radio signal containing its own location data and DMB data transmission time information. The DMB terminal having map data receives DMB radio signals from at least three DMB gap fillers(A-C), detects DMB data from the received DMB radio signals, and stores the received time of the DMB data. The DMB terminal calculates the present location, based on the location data of the DMB gap fillers(A-C) and the DMB data transmitted and received time information, and maps the calculated location onto the map data and displays it. |
