<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight for a vehicle switching and irradiating a low-beam light distribution pattern and a high-beam light distribution pattern with a semiconductor type light source as a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight for a vehicle is provided with a semiconductor type light source 2, a reflector 3, a shade 4 and a drive mechanism 5. The reflector 3 has a first reflecting face 9 and a second reflecting face 10. The first reflecting face 9 is one for irradiating by reflecting incident light out of light from the semiconductor type light source 2 as a low-beam light distribution pattern LP. The second reflecting face 10 is one for irradiating by reflecting incident light out of light from the semiconductor type light source 2 as a high-beam light distribution pattern HP. As a result, with the semiconductor type light source 2 as a light source, the headlight for a vehicle can be provided that switches and irradiates the low-beam light distribution pattern LP and the high-beam light distribution pattern HP. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
