<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a novel sulfonated triarylamine polymer readily soluble in water or alcohol via a small number of processes using materials stably obtained industrially at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a novel sulfonated triarylamine polymer, a sulfonating agent is reacted with a triarylamine polymer represented by formula (6), wherein Ar<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and m are the same as those of general formula (1), in a basic polar solvent. In the formula (1): Ar<SB POS="POST">1</SB>are each independently a 6-20C aromatic group which may have a substituent; m is an integer of ≥1; X is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal of Li, K, or Na, or an amine salt represented by NH(R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>)<SB POS="POST">3</SB>; and R<SB POS="POST">3</SB>are each independently a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl or aryl group which may have a substituent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
