<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary stand that prevents cooking utensils from falling off from a pot, that enables the utensils to be temporarily placed thereon, and that is characterized by the use of a material excellent in heat resistance and cold resistance. <P>SOLUTION: Using a material excellent in heat resistance and cold resistance like silicone rubber, a wide U shaped or C shaped body part is formed, a similar wide U shaped or C shaped hook part somewhat smaller than the body part is joined to a suitable center area in the two outer wall faces of the body part. The U shaped or C shaped tip end opening of the hook part is made to intersect at 90° with the tip end opening of the body part. On the inner wall face of the body part, there is provided a slip prevention part having ruggedness of a peak-valley waveform, brush-like or embossed shape.
