[Problem] To enable the widening of the angle of view and a reduction in size of an imaging lens while enabling high optical performance. [Solution] An imaging lens is configured so that: a negative first lens group (G1) and a positive second lens group (G2) are provided in order from the object side; the first lens group (G1) comprises a first group first lens (L11), which is a negative single lens, the second lens group (G2) comprises, in order from the object side, a positive second group first lens (L21), a stop (St), a positive second group second lens (L22) and a negative second group third lens (L23); the second group second lens (L22) and the second group third lens (L23) are cemented together to form a cemented lens; and both conditional expression (1): 0<f34/f<6.5 and conditional expression (2): 0<fg2/f<1.3 are simultaneously satisfied where f34 is the combined focal length of the second group second lens (L22) and the second group third lens (L23), fg2 is the combined focal length of the entire second lens group (G2), and f is the focal length of the entire lens system. |
