A pressurised liq is fed by a pump to at least two vessels, which each contain a tubular filter cartridge. Each vessel has an inlet for the liq; a drain for dirt or other foreign matter retained by the cartridge; and an outlet pipe. The outlet pipes feed the filtered liq into a common pipe leading to nozzles employed in a cleaning plant or other appts. The inlet and exit pipes on each vessel are fitted with valves; and the outlet pipes can also be connected by valves to a cleaning circuit, so that filtered liq from one vessel can be fed in the reverse direction through another vessel to clean the filter cartridge in the latter. For filtering any pressurised liq; but esp liq used in an industrial washer to clean castings or machined parts. An inexpensive system which requires only one pump and one tank, and where only a small vol of a cleaning liq need be used. |
