PURPOSE: A method for calculating extinguishing gas of vent stack is provided to extinguish fire within a vent stack. CONSTITUTION: A method for calculating extinguishing gas of vent stack comprises a step(S11) of confirming the flow rate of mixed gas of vent stack, a step(S12) of selecting target gas from mixed gas of vent stack, a step(S13) of determining whether the selected target gas is combustible gas or not, a step(S14) of selecting fire extinguishing gas, a flow rate calculation step(S15) of calculating the flow rate of the fire extinguishing gas, and a cylinder determining step(S16) of determining a cylinder having the calculated flow rate and spraying fire extinguishing gas.
