PURPOSE: A method for automating the sound quality improvement of a portable terminal, a device thereof, and a recording medium including a program for executing the method in a computer are provided to automatically optimize a parameter value to satisfy standards for frequency response, volume level, and idle channel noise in a receiving unit and frequency response, volume level, and idle channel noise in a transmitting unit of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A voice quality standard selecting unit(400) selects one or more of frequency response standards, a loudness rating standard, and an idle channel noise standard. A voice quality measurement result confirming unit(410) loads voice quality measurement result data of a portable terminal to be improved in voice quality. A voice quality standard determining unit(420) determines whether the voice quality measurement result data of the portable terminal satisfies one or more of the standards.
