<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC-input DC brushless motor that allows direct input of AC power, such as commercial AC power, and that is allowed to be driven at a speed according to the frequency of the commercial AC power. <P>SOLUTION: An AC-input DC brushless motor includes: a motor section that has, at least, drive windings and a mover; a power element that supplies drive power to the drive windings; a power control section that controls the drive power; a speed control section that generates a speed control signal; and a terminal section to which commercial AC power is input. The power control section controls the amount of current flowing through the power element by means of the speed control signal. According to the frequency of the commercial AC power that is input to the terminal section, the speed control section outputs the speed control signal to the power control section. In the speed control section, at least the motor section, the power element, the power control section, and the speed control section are incorporated. The commercial AC power is connected to the terminal section, and the DC brushless motor is thus driven at a speed according to the frequency of the commercial AC power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
