<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a center pillar or the like from entering a vehicle when the vehicle has a side crash. <P>SOLUTION: The roof structure for a vehicle body includes: roof side rails 20 longitudinally extending at both sides of the vehicle body in the width direction; a roof reinforcement 41 for supporting a roof panel of the vehicle body; and a mounting bracket 45 for coupling the roof reinforcement 41 with the roof side rails 20. In the structure, a stiffness releasing part for promoting the deformation of the mounting bracket 45 in the vehicle width direction or the relative displacement of the mounting bracket 45 with respect to the roof reinforcement 41 caused by the application of a predetermined side collision load is arranged between a mounting bracket 45 from the top of the upwardly-protruding mounting bracket 45 and the connection periphery with the roof reinforcement 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
