In this laser light source unit, pulse laser light is output in an intended wavelength sequence. A Q-switch (55) and birefringence filter (56) are inserted into an optical resonator that includes a pair of mirrors (53, 54) that sandwich a laser rod (51) and face each other. The birefringence filter (56) changes the oscillation wavelength of the optical resonator with rotational displacement. A rotation control unit (60) rotates the birefringence filter (56) at a prescribed rotational speed according to the number of wavelengths included in the wavelength sequence for the pulse laser light to be output. A light emission control unit (61) turns the Q-switch (55) on at a timing when the rotational displacement position of the birefringence filter (56) is a position corresponding to the wavelength of pulse laser light to be output and causes the output of the pulse laser light after excited light is output by a flash lamp (52) to the laser rod (51).
