Climbing device for moving large movable structures, which is constituted by a series of toothed devices (2), each mounted on identical cranks (3), which pass through said toothed devices transversely and rotate, in unison and in synchrony, such that the two eccentrics corresponding to each toothed device have the same arrangement at all times in order that the toothed device is always in the horizontal position, carrying out a rotary movement on two lateral shafts which coincide with the respective cranks, which movement is translated longitudinally into a movement of approximation and entrainment of the device to be supported on the rack and then a movement of moving the rack away and withdrawing it to an anterior position. At all times, at least one toothed device is in contact with the rack and consequently all the teeth of said toothed device are meshed therein.
