The vehicle heater (1) has a motor (4) and a combustion air blower formed as side channel blower. The combustion air blower includes a base housing (2) on which a drive shaft (3) of the motor is mounted, and an impeller (10). The impeller is connected with the drive shaft of the motor. The motor includes a stationary winding support (6) connected with circuit board (7), and a rotor (8). The combustion air blower includes gap tube (16) which is provided between the stationary winding support and the rotor.
