#CMT# #/CMT# The system has a plate-like surface element (1) comprising a surface (3) emitting radiant heat (S) and thermally coupled with a heat source (2) for planar evenly distributed radiation of the radiant heat over the surface. A cover-like partition wall (4) is attached at a distance to the surface and partially transmits the radiant heat, and the surface and the wall enclose a gas-tight inner volume (V) that comprises low pressure with respect to atmospheric ambient pressure conditions (U). The wall is made of a material transparent for infrared radiation. #CMT# : #/CMT# The surface element is designed as a natural stone pane, a ceramic plate or an earthenware slab. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Panel heating system. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The plate-like surface element has the surface emitting the radiant heat and thermally coupled with the heat source for planar evenly distributed radiation of the radiant heat over the surface, thus improving heat sensitivity without increasing risk of injury by combustion during contact with skin. The surface of the surface element and the partition wall enclose the gas-tight inner volume that comprises low pressure with respect to the atmospheric ambient pressure conditions, thus preventing convective heat flow from sides of the heated surface element to the partition wall. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a cross sectional view of a surface element of a panel heating system with a cover-like partition wall.
