<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball long in the carry of a driver shot. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball has a spherical core 4 and at least one or more layers of covers 12 for covering the spherical core 4. The spherical core 4 contains (a) base material rubber, (b) an α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or its metallic salt whose carbon number as a co-crosslinking agent is 3 to 8, (c) a crosslinking initiator and (d) a carboxylic acid whose carbon number is 1 to 13. When the spherical core contains only (b) the α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid whose carbon number as the co-crosslinking agent is 3 to 8, the spherical core is further composed of a rubber composition containing (e) a metallic compound, and a hardness difference between the surface hardness and the center hardness of the spherical core 4 is not lower than 30 at JIS-C hardness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
