<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner detecting part 205 able to detect an amount of waste toner despite a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The waste toner detecting section 205 is provided, which comprises: a coil spring 206a supporting the waste toner recovery container 204; AC means 503 for applying AC current to both ends of the coil spring 206a; a detecting coil 208 for detecting electromagnetic induction generated by the coil spring 206a; detecting means 504 for detecting electromotive force generated in the detecting coil 208 by the electromagnetic induction; storage means 506 for storing a relational expression (1) indicating the relation between the electromotive force and an amount of waste toner in the waste toner recovery container 204; and calculating means 505 for calculating an amount of waste toner at the present point on the basis of the electromotive force, detected by the detecting means 504, and the relational expression (1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
