<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive current from flowing during power supply from a photographic lens unit 1. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU and a transceiver communicating via a network line are mounted on each of CPU substrates 11 to 21. Power is supplied to the camera communication CPU substrate 11 from a camera body 41, and power is supplied to the CPUs and the transceivers mounted on the CPU substrates 11 to 21. A power-on permission command is transmitted from the camera communication CPU substrate 11 to the iris control substrate 19, and power is supplied to a driver and the like mounted on the iris control substrate 19. Driving of an iris motor 26 becomes possible. Thereafter, a power-on permission command is transmitted to the zoom control CPU substrate 17, the focus control CPU substrate 18, and the like, and driving of a zoom motor 22, a focus motor 24, and the like becomes possible.
