<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that: suppresses an electrostatic offset from a recording sheet carrying a toner image to a rotating member for heating or a rotating member for pressing, which provide a fixing nip of a fixing device; and suppresses adhesion and accumulation of toner to the rotating member for heating and the rotating member for pressing without adding a cleaning mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: a potential control device D1 that controls surface potential Hv of a rotating member 2 for heating in a fixing device FX; a potential control device D2 that controls surface potential Pv of a rotating member 3 for pressing; and a control unit 13 that causes the control device D1 to control the surface potential Hv of the rotating member, and the control device D2 to control the surface potential Pv of the rotating member in such a way that a relationship ¾Hv¾=¾Pv¾ is established during non-image formation period, and a relationship ¾Hv¾>¾Pv¾ is established during image formation period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
