<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a motor according to a riding technique used when starting a bicycle. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 12 controls an assist motor 60. The control section 12 includes a crank position detecting section 40, a crank position determining section 41, and a motor control section 43. The crank position detecting section 40 detects the positions of the right crank 18a and the left crank 18b of the bicycle. The crank position determining section 41 determines whether the crank of the bicycle is in a predetermined region including a bottom dead center based on the detection result from the crank position detecting section 40. A stop determining section 42 determines the stop of the right crank 18a and the left crank 18b. The motor control section 43 inhibits driving of the assist motor 60 during a period in which the crank position determining section 41 determines that the right crank 18a and the left crank 18b are in the predetermined region after the stop determining section 42 determines the stop of the right crank 18a and the left crank 18b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
