PURPOSE: A composition containing natural medicinal herb extract is provided to effectively prevent and treat American foul brood and to enhance productivity of a honeybee farmhouse. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating foul brood in honeybee contains extract of Combretaceae, Glycyrrhiza, or Sophora flavescenes as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using ethanol or hot water. The foul brood is American foul brood. A method for preventing or treating foul brood comprises a step of treating a honeybee with the extract. |
