PURPOSE: In a wireless LAN environment, a video transmission system, a wireless communication apparatus and a method thereof are provided to use wireless channel information, thereby use independent FEC(Forward Error Correction) encoding rate per access point. CONSTITUTION: A video server(400) stores various video contents for a multimedia internet service. The video server provides the stored various video contents to terminal devices(408,410,412,414) through communications network. The video server divides video data into packets before delivering the video data to access points(402,404,406). The video server encodes the divided packet form video data by using a predetermined packet level FEC coding method. The video server transmits the encoded video data to the terminal devices through each access point.
