PURPOSE: A transmission control method and a system of an automatic transmission vehicle is provided to improve transmission feeling and a comfortable ride in a neutral shift control process by eliminating a shift torque and fuel consumption due to fluid pressure deviation of a UD clutch in a neutral control entry section. CONSTITUTION: A neutral shift request signal receiving part receives a neutral shift request signal(101). A learning prohibiting condition determining part determines whether a learning prohibiting condition for an initial fluid pressure of a UD clutch in a neutral shift entry section is satisfied. A neutral shift control part produces an error time(107). The neutral shift control part compares the error time with a predetermined threshold(109). The error time exceeds the threshold. The neutral shift control part corrects the initial flow pressure of the UD clutch to a learned value(111). The neutral shift control part updates the corrected initial flow pressure of the UD clutch to the learned value(113).
