PURPOSE: A 3D image LCD and a method for driving the same are provided to save power consumption of a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(80) indicates an image. An MEMC(20) receives an image signal. An image signal includes a left-eye image and a right eye image. A timing controller(50) produces a control signal. The control signal outputs the image signal including an interpolation image for an nth frame. A driver(60,70) operates the display panel by using the timing controller.
