PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a metal nanoparticle is provided to provide water-soluble property to the metal nanoparticle by coating the surface of the metal nanoparticle with a thiol-terminal polymer. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a metal nanoparticle comprises: a step of preparing a metal nano particle and a thiol terminal polymer; and a step of mixing the metal nano particle and the thiol terminal polymer and coating the surface of the metal nanoparticle with the thiol terminal polymer. The metal nanoparticle is one nanoparticle selected from PtRu, BaTiO3, PbTiO3, SrTiO3, and CuPt. A manufacturing method of the thiol terminal polymer comprises: a step of forming hydroxy from a polymer terminal; a step of substituting the hydroxy group by SO3CH3; and a step of substituting the SO3CH3 by a thiol group.
