<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone 100 capable of precisely estimating residual capacity of a battery even in an initial stage after a power supply switch is turned on. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone 100 in which a battery is incorporated includes a voltage measurement part 110 and a controller 108. The voltage measurement part 110 measures the voltage of the battery at a first time point just after the portable telephone 100 starts operation. The controller 108 calculates the residual capacity of the battery at a second time point when the residual capacity of the battery is displayed first, using an estimated charging and discharging amount estimated to be charged and discharged and the measured voltage during the period from the first time point to the second time point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
