<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a deposit such as residual toner from being accumulated at the edge of an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is configured to include a photoreceptor drum 121 carrying a toner image and revolved and a developing device 122 including a developing roller 122a supplying toner to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 121 and a pair of gap rollers 122b coming into contact with both end portions of the photoreceptor drum 121, to form a predetermined gap between the developing roller 122a and the surface of the photoreceptor drum 121. The image forming apparatus includes an end portion cleaning device 70 performing special cleaning processing for a portion corresponding to the gap roller 122b in both end portions of the photoreceptor drum 121. The end portion cleaning device 70 includes a dual-purpose blade member 71 comprising a plate spring piece 72 and a felt member 73 attached to the plate spring piece 72, and the felt member 73 of the blade member 71 is in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum 121 in such a state that the felt member 73 is energized by the plate spring piece 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
