<p>A 3D receiving device is configured so as to accurately obtain redundant information data and the corresponding disparity information. A multiplexed data stream is provided with a first private data stream (2D stream) containing redundant information data, and a second private data stream (3D extended stream) containing the disparity information. Association information for associating the first private data stream and the second private data stream with the multiplexed data stream is inserted into the multiplexed data stream. For example, identification information shared between descriptors describing information pertaining to both streams is set forth as association information. On the basis of this association information, the 3D receiving device on the receiving side is able to efficiently and accurately extract and decode both streams.</p> |
