The magnet has a coil comprising two conductor windings (21) and a common core (23), where conductor windings comprise a conductor wire with a cross-section (24) that is formed partially in a rotation-asymmetric manner. The cross-section is constantly formed over conductor length. The conductor windings are arranged with a laminated layer in an alternate manner. The conductor windings are partially complementarily arranged, so that the two conductor wires are partly interlinked. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing lifting magnets for an electric machine.
