摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the working load of an operator by dispensing with the setting of a land mark because the positions of the respective regions of a specimen can be detected by forming a Q-map. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter 6 outputs an advancing wave FS(f) for measuring the Q-value of a coil element E to a receiver 8, while the receiver 8 receives the advancing wave FS(f) from the transmitter 6. Next, the transmitter 6 outputs the advancing wave FS(f) to each of coil elements E, while the receiver 8 receives a reflected wave RS(f) from each of the coil elements E. Then, the ratio r(f) of the advancing wave FS(f) and a reflected wave RS(f) is calculated at every coil element E on the basis of the advancing wave FS(f) received by the receiver 8 and the reflected wave RS(f). A Q-value calculation means calculates the Q-value showing the sharpness of resonance of each of the coil elements E on the basis of the frequency characteristics of the ratio r(f).
