<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of reducing delay time. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a frame rate converter; a liquid crystal display part that displays an image after frame rate conversion; a backlight that intermittently emits a lay of light; and a backlight controller that has plural operation modes in which light emitting timing of the backlight is different from each other. The frame rate converter performs the frame rate conversion by generating plural sub frame images same as the frame image in one operation mode. The backlight controller sets the center of one light emitting period of the backlight in the one operation mode before the center of a display period when the liquid crystal display part displays the plural sub frame images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
