<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a print throughput when there is an unrecorded blank area. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus, which records on a conveyed sheet using a recording head that ejects ink, includes: a preheating means 7 that heats the sheet before recorded; a fixing means 10 that heats the sheet on which the ink is applied by recording to fix the ink; and a control means for controlling a conveyance speed so that the blank area passes a recording position of the recording head at a faster speed than the conveyance speed in printing when the blank area is longer than a predetermined length where a sheet is not recorded in a sheet conveyance direction, and the conveyance speed so that the conveyance speed in recoding is recovered when a recording area following the blank area reaches a more predetermined upstream position than the recording position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
