<p>The invention relates to an insert (1), which can be inserted into a storage battery part (2) of an electrically operated tool, in particular a hand-guided tool with at least one handle for holding the tool, wherein the insert (1) comprises several battery cells (3), which are connected to one another in a current-conducting manner. According to the invention it is provided that the insert (1) has an openable housing (4) in which the battery cells (3) are inserted, wherein the battery cells (3) are connected in a current-conducting manner to conductor bars (5) attached to the inside of the housing (4).
