An anti-vibration device for a vehicle has: a rod (11) having one end section (12) fixed to an engine (1) and an other end section (13) fixed to the vehicle body; an actuator (17) including an inertia mass (15) supported by the rod, and which reciprocally moves the inertia mass in the axial direction of the rod; and an acceleration sensor (21) that detects vibration in the axial direction of the rod. The acceleration sensor (21) is arranged between the one end section (12) and the other end section (13) of the rod (11). As a result, sensitivity to rod (11) pitch vibration is reduced and accuracy of detection of rigid body resonance in the axial direction is improved.
